Product Overview
"Mizu Hajikun" inhibits the penetration of moisture and salt into concrete, helping to extend the service life of structures and prevent deterioration. Moisture and salts that penetrate the interior weaken the structure and may cause abnormal expansion due to a reaction between the aggregate and alkali (alkali-aggregate reaction). Furthermore, when chlorides from sea breezes or de-icing agents penetrate the interior, rebar corrosion progresses, leading to serious deterioration issues such as rebar corrosion → expansion → cracking → spalling—all of which Mizuhajikun resolves.

Calcium hydroxide in concrete readily leaches into water, causing wastewater to become highly alkaline (pH 10–12). This can lead to violations of environmental standards, adverse effects on aquatic life, and deterioration of drainage systems and surrounding infrastructure; therefore, proper neutralization treatment is essential at construction sites. Mizuhajikun can be applied to the interior of concrete sumps as a neutralization measure.
